In 1994 Sigma Chi brought home the checkered flag and its first, and to date, only victory. The team qualified fifth and won the white white jersey, but was not considered one of the favorites leading up to the race. However, the team had experience and depth and knew they were capable of winning the race. On the final lap, after holding off the competition and pulling away down the home stretch, Randy Spruill raised his arms in celebration in what has become an iconic Little 500 image.
** The white jersey goes to the team that wins the Spring Series events. The Spring Series consists of ITTs, Miss 'N Out, and Team Pursuit, and points are awarded to how riders / the team finish in each event.
